During the last 2 months (April & May 2010) Headliners has seen an upturn in the proportion of interim assignments that we are handling for our clients. This is most encouraging as there has always been a strong correlation between an increase in interim work and the recruitment sector’s recovery following any commercial downturn.
Marketing recruitment in particular is VERY prone to mirroring the fluctuations of the economy – the highs are higher and the lows are lower – so whilst we are cautious about saying all is now well it’s good to see the green shoots of growth in the interim part of marketing recruitment.

Interim - 39% of all new assignments (Vs 24% in Jan-Mar ’10)
Permanent - 61% of all new assignments (Vs 76% in Jan-Mar ’10)
