Mr Men and Little Miss…

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Anything that came into the world in 1981 is now having its 30th anniversary.  1981 brought us a lot of fashionably challenged, questionably hair-styled wonderful things.  It was a year of celebration with Charles and Di getting married.  It saw the launch of MTV and the unveiling of the KwikFit 9-point code of service.  We saw the launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia and the London Marathon was run for the first time.  It was also the year that the Little Miss books were launched.

On 9th May, Roger Hargreaves would have celebrated his 76th birthday.  Sadly, he died in 1988 but he leaves children everywhere with the legacy of his creations.
