Headliners is a specialist recruitment company and our primary focus is the permanent and interim recruitment of Marketing and Digital talent.
Operating since 1999, we’re a relatively small team and work with our clients in a consultative way. We take pride in being knowledgeable, approachable and professional, but never pushy!
The majority of our business is from ongoing customers, many of whom we have worked with for a number of years, because we get results and they like our style of working. They also know that we work ALL jobs through to a conclusion and that we can handle a challenge.
We work on quality rather than quantity, we don’t bombard you with CV’s – we will only send you candidates that we feel fit the brief!
All of our Consultants have 20+ years of marketing and digital recruitment experience and the core team has been the same for the last 12 years. With practically no turnover of staff you get the same team each time and we can build our knowledge of a client’s culture and market place over the years. In turn, they are brilliantly supported by Mel, Juliette and Rachael, who cover admin, payroll and BD.
Last century (well 1999) – Susan was the Marketing Director of a large corporate team, frequently hitting the recruitment trail, but she came across lots of companies doing it badly, especially interim Marketing recruitment which was in its infancy, and thought she could do it better!
Teamed up with Clare, whose background was HR, and the dream team was born! Well, it was when Amanda came along!
Over 20 years later, after recessions, a financial crisis and even a global pandemic, we’re still here doing some fantastic work. In fact, 2022 was our best year ever, so upwards and onwards.
Having been with Headliners since the start in 1999 and progressed within the business to Director, I now look after Client management, and have been hands-on recruiting Marketing and Digital roles ever since.
I love the resourcing part of the role and having a background in HR helps when trying to find the right ‘fit’ for a client
When not working I’m often found on the Ceroc dancefloors of Berkshire and Oxfordshire or in the Chilterns walking my Cockerpoo, Amber.
I have been with Headliners since 2011, I started off managing all the admin and then progressed to Consultant. I really enjoy working at Headliners we work in a very flexible way, mainly remote and although we are a small team, I think we complement each other’s strengths and get the job done!
My main role is looking after candidates, which is great for me as I love making that “You’ve got the job” telephone call.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, seaside walks and music.
As the Founder of Headliners I always feel that we should treat clients and candidates in exactly the way we’d want to be treated. That plus know what you’re talking about!
For clients, this means match in with how they want to work and find them a great selection of candidates from which to choose. For candidates and contractors, be honest and transparent and if they’re on our payroll pay promptly and look after them.
Our approach is straightforward and it works – as our reviews demonstrate.
Outside of work, I like to throw things! As a competitive Masters athlete my favourite events are hammer, discus and javelin – so my family know not to mess with me.
